Social Traders

Website, Salesforce communities portal and integration strategically aligned to Social Trader’s Not-for-profit core business model.

Our Brief

Social Traders creates jobs for disadvantaged Australians by linking business and government buyers with social enterprises. The brand’s goal is to create 1,500 jobs for disadvantaged Australians by 2021 by building a community of 95 business/government buyers, 600 certified suppliers and facilitating $105 million in procurement spend.

Through referred business, Social Traders approached us to design and build a website that clearly communicated and directly supported its new, largely self-funded business model and offering.

Our Solution

Our core-approach was to ensure clarity around Social Traders’ new offering and support its business goals.

To create an evolution of Social Traders’ existing site that respected the brand’s look and feel, we worked closely with the internal marketing team, carefully devising an entirely new site structure and information architecture. The new site adds clarity to the company’s new offering and supports its business goals with significant UX enhancements and a dramatically improved mobile experience.

Search Engine Optimisation

As a dominant authority in the social enterprise space, Social Traders had a high-ranking site for keywords such as “Social Enterprise” in organic searches. Having taken considerable time to get to this level, it was vital the new site did not negatively affect it. We used our best-practice SEO compliance experience to carefully audit and monitor Social Traders’ authority throughout the build, content entry and deployment phases.

Salesforce Integration

Social Traders introduced a Salesforce Community client portal as part of its new offering. We carefully integrated the new website with Salesforce, streamlining business processes, from using forms to capture inbound leads to managing member-only news feeds, events and ticketing.
